I've noticed a musty smell in my last couple loads of laundry. I think I left some wet clothes in there a bit longer than I should of and they started to mildew. This smell is faint, but quite annoying. I have a front loading washer with a level indicator so I'm wondering if I can run it without clothes and put something in to get rid of it ( Read more... )

My boyfriend and I don't wash our towels after every use, but hang them to dry and reuse them. They go about 5 showers each between washes, and mine never develop any smell during that time, but maybe a year ago his started to and I'm not sure why.

I've been slowly changing over to using homemade natural cleaners and I've been very please with them. I'm coming to the end of my Fabreeze bottle and not sure what I should use instead. Forgive me, I couldn't find a place in the memories for my problem although I know people discuss getting rid of odors a lot on this forum.

I received a really nice used area rug as a gift, only now I have gotten it home and unrolled it to find that there is definitely still a faint odor of dog to it.  Anyone have any good ideas for getting rid of

My boyfriend and I recently invested in a new bed. It's a Sealy Posturepedic, and it's wonderful. The only problem is, it smells right out of the plastic. It smells almost like mold, but it's distinct, making me think it's chemical.

The person who lived in my house before me stored insecticide in the coat closet, and it stinks to high heaven.  I've tried leaving vast amounts of baking soda to absorb the smell...but it hasn't worked.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
